Intrigue, Spirit of the place?
Monsieur is not one of those people who call each other by a first name. From the outset, Monsieur takes on a slightly theatrical presence: it stands out for its haughty character, that of a soul born between Haussmannian facades and a well-mannered neighborhood.
In reference to the neighboring Mathurins Theater, once called the Theater of Monsieur, then the Theater of Sacha Guitry, the Hotel Monsieur evokes in filigree this so Parisian playwright. The twists and turns of the hotel's decoration are a playful tribute to the daring Guitry, to the romantic Sacha: at 62, rue des Mathurins, the great playwright's sense of repartee is rustling in the wings.
Scenario, Atmosphere
A new hotel whose decor is signed by Vincent Bastie, Monsieur cultivates a vintage verve, mixed with a lively modernity.
In witty allusions to the elegance of Sacha Guitry, thirty-one rooms, including two suites, give each other a run for their money.
On the courtyard side, impromptu moments of well-being, on the bedroom side, marivaudages of moldings and masculine fabrics, declamations of art deco ceramics and upholstered loveseats: so many incentives for tasty apartés.
